Lexie Stone is the proud owner of Stone Dance Academy.

Dancing since age 2, Lexie studied at The European School of Performing Arts (ESPA) for 16 years where distinguished staff and guest artists guided her Classical Ballet training. In addition to her home studio, Lexie spent her summers training at Orlando Ballet and Suzanne Farrel workshops at Florida State University. While at ESPA and the Civic Ballet of Volusia County, Lexie was honored with lead roles such as Paquita, Firebird, Belle, Snow White, Sugar Plum Fairy, Clara, Snow Queen, Dew Drop Fairy, and many more.

As a graduate of Florida State University with a B.S. in Business, she was honored to be selected as a member of the nationally ranked elite collegiate dance team, The Florida State Golden Girls. While on the team, the Golden Girls were ranked number 2 in the country. In addition to being on Golden Girls, Lexie worked as a ballet teacher at Dance Fusion Tallahassee and South Georgia Ballet where her passion for educating grew.

After college, Lexie moved to Chicago and began working in the fashion industry for a start up called Trunk Club where she helped aid in the transition of it being acquired by Nordstrom. There, she developed strong business and sales expertise that propelled her to become the head Event Director at Bounce Chicago. At Bounce, she led the entire creation of the event department including its event packaging, design capabilities, menu selections with the head chef, and training for the day of execution. While in Chicago, Lexie trained with Visceral Dance Center.

After moving back to Florida, Lexie realized her passion still remained with dance education and began teaching at GraceFull Dance Academy in 2020. In 2021, Lexie purchased the studio, renamed, and rebranded it to become Stone Dance Academy (SDA.) By encompassing her experience in fashion, dance, and event planning, Lexie was able to successfully orchestrate a seamless transition and allow for a flourishing dance environment. As Stone Dance Academy continues to grow in size and number, so does its recognition in the competitive dance world. Additionally, within its first year, Lexie led and directed its brand new annual Nutcracker production as well as its first springtime production of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Since then, Stone Dance Academy has produced Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan for their year-end recitals. This year’s Beauty and the Beast is set to take place on May 31st at Lyman High School.

Lexie is married to her soulmate, Kevin Stone, who you will find fixing items around the studio and performing in The Nutcracker. Lexie has a daughter named Stella Stone and a son on his way!
